Umbría is inspired by the Chinese splatter painting tradition.
The subject is a lake in Umbria, but the true protagonists are the reflections: forms that are suggested rather than fully revealed, subtle movements on the water’s surface capturing the atmosphere of the place. The technique balances control and spontaneity, allowing color and material to freely interact, inviting the viewer to discover a landscape that breathes and unfolds with every glance.
