Preparations are now underway for BIOPHILIA, a collective exhibition that will open this October at La Concepción Botanical-Historical Garden in Málaga, Spain.
The project has entered a new phase as the eight participating artists begin coordinating the exhibition and selecting the works that will be presented. At the same time, work is progressing on the artists’ booklet, the exhibition’s visual identity and the project’s official website.
Inspired by Erich Fromm’s concept of biophilia as a love of life, the exhibition brings together a wide range of artistic approaches that explore life in its many dimensions. Rather than focusing exclusively on nature, BIOPHILIA offers a broader reflection on vitality, creativity and the many ways in which contemporary art can express our relationship with life. The project is coordinated by artist Rosana Larraz, who also oversees its curatorial and editorial development.
The exhibition brings together the work of Carlos Miguel, Griselda Giachero, Maribel Nuevo, Morgan, Neno Herrera, Peter Varga, Rocío Davó Berdejo and Rosana Larraz. Together, they represent a group of established artists with diverse backgrounds, distinct artistic voices and extensive exhibition experience, reflecting the richness and plurality of contemporary art.
