IMPULSOS (Impulses) is a series of works that explores painting as a direct and visceral act. Inspired by the tradition of masters like Turner, Hokusai, Goya, Constable, Sorolla or Emil Nolde, the series emphasizes the painterly gesture, spontaneity, and immediacy, elements that reveal the energy inherent in the creative process.
Most pieces are created without brushes, using only the hands, allowing the pictorial material to flow freely and each mark to become an extension of the body. Color unfolds with intensity and vibrancy, shaping atmospheres that capture movement and feeling.
In IMPULSOS, painting is not merely representation: it is action, time suspended in gesture, presence, and resonance. Each work invites the viewer to contemplate not only the surface but also the rhythm and energy that produced it, reminding us that the power of painting lies both in its materiality and in its ability to move and transform.
