The painting Towards the Light (Hacia la luz) by Rosana Larraz has been selected as a finalist in the Toolip International Art Contest 2025, an international competition that brings together contemporary artists from around the world.
Towards the Light, part of the series Lúmina, continues Larraz’s exploration of light as a central element in her pictorial language. In Towards the Light, light emerges not only as a visual phenomenon but as an atmospheric and emotional force, shaping an immersive space where abstraction and perception intersect. The piece reflects the artist’s ongoing interest in creating environments that evoke depth, movement, and inner resonance through subtle chromatic transitions.
As a finalist, the work is also in contention for the gallery prize and will be included in the Finalists’ Exhibition at the Toolip Art Gallery, on view from August 22 to September 19, 2025. The exhibition presents a curated selection of finalist works, offering a wide perspective on contemporary artistic approaches.
